Fresh installation only partly working

  • Hi there,

    I have previously installed WP on a number of domains and not experienced any problems at all. Today, however, I installed 4.2.2 on a new domain and it’s being problematic.

    The install appears to have worked but some back-end functions aren’t working. Namely, I can’t upload themes (CMS’ upload button is completely unresponsive) and, when installed via FTP, trying to customise the theme settings results in a blank page with a spinning icon… indefinitely.

    I’ve tried a fresh install, but to no avail.

    Apologies if this is a repost – I did look before posting. Any help much appreciated.

    What theme are you using?

    Thanks for replying.
    I’m using the default theme. I have changed absolutely nothing – except for creating the necessary wp-config.php file. The problems are occuring whether I install a new theme or not.

    – Check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.
