• Hi, I need to know how to completely reinstall from scratch. My website’s directory has changed relative to the server root, and now there are a handful of problems relating to the new directory of my website on the server.

    It went from this:
    /home/old_user/example.com/[site root here]

    to this:
    /home/new_user/example.com/[site root here]

I’ve deleted the plugin as well as all ‘itsec’ tables from the wp-database, but when I reinstall the plugin, somehow it’s still looking for things (like backups, logs, etc.) in the wrong location.

    Any advice here?

  • Hi,

In the logs and backup settings there’s an option to reset the path. This should do the trick.

    Thanks,

Hi, thanks for the response. I did see those options but it seemed like none of my changes were sticking. The first time I’d try to make a change, I’d get some sort of nonce error. A page refresh would allow me to submit the change, but when I’d go back and check the same setting it would be back to the original value.

    Hi,

Can you please share the exact nonce error?

    Thanks,

Unfortunately I had to uninstall and use a different security plugin, and I don’t have the exact error anymore. I’ll try to reinstall and reproduce the error when I have a few minutes though.
