From 2.7.1 to 2.8 b2 via wp-admin/update-core.php

I believe all you need to do is change wp-includes/version.php so this the $wp_version variable looks like:

$wp_version = '2.8-beta2-11456';

Then do Tools->Upgrade to upgrade.

and then I can do daily trunk updates through the update-core.php?

If I remember correctly, in the development cycle, the Tools->Upgrade installs the latest nightly.

i have the version 2.7.1 and is telling is not a new version for upgrade but it is 2.8…why..is a bug?
