Hello! My site has forms that need to deliver notifications from 2 different email addresses. Some forms need to come from [email protected] and other forms need to come from [email protected].

In Gravity Forms, I’ve got the forms set to send notifications from the appropriate email address.

Post SMTP is set up to:
    + Send using Mandrill
    + Mailer Type is PostSMTP
+ From address is [email protected]
+ Prevent plugins and themes from changing this is deselected (in both locations)
+ ‘Disable e-mail validation’ is selected

With this setting, forms with notifications that come from [email protected] are showing as sent from that address in the Post SMTP log, but they arrive from [email protected].

What can I do to have different Gravity Forms forms that come from different email addresses?

    -Andy

Looks like you are using Mandrill API, have you checked the settings on Mandrill?
I don’t know if it is still the case but under the advanced settings tab, you used to be able to set the From: address.

@shinerweb – Thanks for responding! I took a look at the settings in Mandrill but I don’t see any place to specify a ‘from’ address there. I also took a look at the Post SMTP settings and my message email address is applications@, with ‘Prevent plugins and themes from changing this’ unchecked.

My goal is to have different Gravity Forms forms send notification emails from different email addresses. I imaging that having ‘Prevent plugins and themes from changing this’ unchecked is supposed to allow for this.

Has anyone had success using Post SMTP to send notification emails from multiple email addresses?

    Hi @nadesignlab,

Sorry that I am only just getting around to reading your forum post and replying to you. I have been super busy lately, and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to respond.

I have done this in the past, though it is not as reliable as sending from a single email address. Having done both, I’d definitely recommend just a single outgoing email address from your website of something like website@, delivery@, etc.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with Mandrill, so cannot advise on the specific set up – it might be worth contacting Mandrill support. Essentially your set up is correct though, as far as Post SMTP goes.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
