    I’ve congifigured this plugin on a few sites using an Elementor Pro form now, clients typcially want the submitted form email to be ‘from’ the customer email so they can reply directly.

    I have disabled ‘Force From’ in settings and still no joy, it always sends from the email address used in the the plugin setup.

    Is there a solution or workaround? Elementor won’t assist.

    Hi @sirholas,

    Thanks for reaching out! To improve your email deliverability, you should always send your site email notifications using the WP Mail SMTP configured “From email” address.

    However, you should be able to set a “Reply-to” email address on your contact forms or the script that you’re using to send those email notifications.

    For example, if you’re using a form plugin like WPForms, they have this feature to set a “reply-to” email. Or you need to check your contact form settings to set your “reply to” email address.

    Thanks for your response. I have configured both the from email and reply-to to be the submitters email address but still no joy when trying to respond unfortunately. I’m using an Elementor Pro form which worked fine prior to configuring WP SMTP.

    Hi @sirholas,

    As I have mentioned earlier, you cannot change the “from email address”. Because you don’t have the authenticity to send emails from those users’ email accounts.

    The purpose of the WP Mail SMTP plugin is to send emails from an authenticated email account to improve your email deliverability.

    Some email platforms like Zoho may not allow to change the “reply-to” email address as well. In such cases, you need to check with your email provider to see if they have such restrictions.
