• In connection with Contact Form 7, I have two challenges – lets start with the one relating to the configuration on the “Mail” tab.
In the “From” field, I enter the [your-mail] container (imported from the row of containers possible above the form), but that generate an error that say: “! (configuration error) Sender email address does not belong to the site domain.”.
I have uploaded an image which show what I mean – that can be found here.
What do I do wrong and how do I get rid of that error?

  • The From: field should be a valid email address from the domain where your site is hosted.

It’s a relatively common mistake to assume this should be the email address of the person submitting the form.

But if you do that it’s now increasingly likely that your CF7 form emails will be rejected as spam by mail servers all around the world. CF7 is giving messages to help you not suffer from that problem.

Most experienced CF7 users add the users email like this:

    Mail Tab
    Additional Headers: Reply-to: [your-name] <[your-email]>
(allows you to use Reply in your email application to reply
to the form users email address)
