When sending emails via Contact Form 7, the “From Email” and “From Name” fields is always what I set it as in the SMTP by BestWebSoft settings, rather than how I set it in Contact Form 7. The same applies to any other contact form and autoresponder plugin.

    Is this possible to override?

Because Contact Form 7 doesn’t override the “From Email” and “From Name” fields I am using an old WP Mail SMTP plugin (By Callum Macdonald. This plugin hasn’t been updated in over a year. Plugin does not exist anymore. Has been deleted from the WordPress repository.).

Can you do something? Thanks in advance. Regards,

Update. It should look like this.

From Email: The email address which will be used as the From Address if it is not supplied to the mail function.

From Name: The name which will be used as the From Name if it is not supplied to the mail function.

You did not take into consideration the mail function. And that’s the problem.

    Hi,

We will consider this option, and if we find out how to implement it, we’ll add it in future updates. The difficulty lies in the fact that some mail servers require that the domain in the “From Email” be the same as in the “SMTP Host”, otherwise the messages are not sent.

    Sincerely,
    BestWebSoft Support Team
