Something has gone wrong in the way the Jetpack plugin links me through to enhanced site stats on WordPress.com.

In the Jetpack plugin dashboard under “Stats”, it says “Did you know you can view enhanced stats on WordPress.com?” And when I click “Show Me” it takes me through to the page with the basic stats page — Views & Visitors, Posts & Pages, Countries, etc. broken down by Days.

However, if I try to get more stats by clicking on any other link on the page, for example “Insights”, “Weeks”, “Months” or “Years” across the top of the page, it says “No activity this period.” Same thing if I click on any other link.

If I click on my name/URL in the top left corner, it seems to show two different blogs with identical names linked to this page. One has a red warning triangle. But if I click on either one, it still says “No activity this period”, and apparently neither one is linked in such a way as to collect stats? And if I then try to get back to the stats that did display, it won’t even show those.

I can’t figure out how to back up my stats, and I am very afraid of losing them if I start tinkering without a backup.

So I would please like to know how to backup these stats first, before I uninstall and reinstall to try to fix the problem. It’s taken a lot of hard work to re-launch this blog since April and I don’t want to lose the proof of my positive results. I was about to use that data to monetize my blog, so lost stats = lost income.

    Thank you very much,

    Howdy,

Could you disconnect and reconnect to WordPress.com using the link in the footer of the Jetpack page in your site’s Dashboard?

Your stats data is saved on WordPress.com—there is no copy locally.

If you’re having trouble after that, could you contact us at https://jetpack.me/contact-support/ with a link to this thread and mention site ID 86574281 ?

    Thanks!

Thank you. I disconnected it, and when I tried to reconnect I got the error message:

“Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: token_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
Resolving timed out after 5514 milliseconds”

I’ll contact you through the URL you provided.
