From Name & From eMail

I have configured in the settings of Post SMTP NOT to override the “from name” and “from email” that is being set by the plug-in

So what is the question? if you set the checkbox no code will help you.
you need to make sure the checkboxes are unchecked and use code like this in your theme functions.php

BOTH checkbox are UNCHECKED, and still not getting the “from name” and “from emaiL’ the the plugin was able to do before.

if I disable your plugin it works as expected however the inconsistency of receiving then becomes the issue.

is there a way a regular user like can do what you suggested above without doing any coding.

why is it the function is working as expected when NOT using Post SMTP ?

I did another test, this time I checked both boxes and entered the values I want for “from name” and “from email”.

same results, no “from name” and the “from email’ is the email address being used to send via gmail smtp.

btw, I’m using Client id/ client secret method.

Before I posted my question over here, I tried to register BUT never got my confirmation email so I was not able login to post my question in your support forum.

tried to register again …. but not getting activation email so when I tried to login to your support site the error messages states user not activated yet

and yes I have checked the spam folder

If you are using a different email address from the one you used to configure the plugin, you need to give it “send as” permission”
