We are using this plugin and it is basically working well, except that the from name is being overridden, even though we have “Force From Email” enabled. Here is what I have tried. I read that this could be because of the name associated with the Gmail API OAuth key so I checked everywhere in our Google Cloud Services account and could not find any place there that showed the wrong name. I then created a new OAuth Client ID, deleted the old connection and entered the new Client ID and Client Secret, but this did not fix the issue. I also checked our code and made sure that it was not sending a from name. It’s not. I also checked in the Gmail account being used and made sure that this had the correct from name. It does, and furthermore test emails send directly from that account show the correct from name. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks!

      Hi @bghooke,

Thanks for reaching out! If your test emails are displaying the correct “from name,” it is possible that your sender name is being overridden by a third-party plugin as well.

Could you please deactivate your third-party plugins temporarily and retest? If you’re still experiencing the same issue, try removing the connection under the WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page, then reconnect and retest.

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Thank you. It turns out it was indeed another plugin.
