From none for weeks to blocking one per minute for hours now

    Are you still seeing this? Is it coming from the same country or same block of IPs? Any patterns you see?

    No it has slowed down. It seems to have slowed after wordpress was updated. I did not see a patter except most were trying to login with ‘test’.

    Is there a way to block logins with user ‘test’?

    If I am understanding you correctly then the answer is Yes. You can block logins for specific usernames that do not exist in the system. (or block all that do not exist) Try putting “test” into the Wordfence Options -> Login Security Options -> Immediately block the IP of users who try to sign in as these usernames text box.
