from wordpress.com to www.ads-software.com

  • Hi!

    I have a wordpress.com website which I would like to change into www.ads-software.com, while also making a new domain name.

    I would export the files from wordpress.com, install www.ads-software.com, and then import the files.
    Would that be correct, or is it not that easy?

  • It is really. Obviously, you’ll need to source your theme plus any plugins that were used on .com – Jetpack generally restores a lot of the .com functionality but not all. Once your content has moved over the biggest issue is getting your new site to look like the old one!
