Front-end Editor Not Functioning on homepage

I can’t seem to figure out why. At first I thought it was the image rotator conflicting with it, but when I removed it it continued to not work.

What is going on is it will highlight and I can even double click on the content to edit, but when it comes up it is a plain html view with no WYSIWYG features. When I click to save what I edit it just sits there and spins.

What can I do to make this work right? By the way, it’s only on the homepage of one of my sites.
