Hello i am using a P2theme and it has file uploading and posting, but it uploads files first to wordpress file storage, but i want to attach the file directly to the post, just like in facebook. Is there a way to do it?

Hi there! The images you upload will all go into your Media Library. Also, P2 theme adds the images directly into your posts though, so you should be seeing them there when you add a new one.

Do you mean you’re not seeing the images in your posts when you upload? Can you share a link to your site and explain what you mean in a bit more detail, please?

    Thanks! ??

I want to know if there is a way to just attach the file to the post without uploading it to the Medie library.

Becouse i dont want to first upload it to the media library and the select the file from it.

    Okay, I see.

Any photo you add to a post/page will be uploaded into your Media Library. You can do that right from the post box (to insert an image), but the image will still be stored in your Media Library.

Ohh, ok. And is there a wa to to show attached files like this, becouse it shows up as code

On P2, when you insert an image on the front page posting, it will show as the code in the post editor box, and then when you publish, the image will display (instead of the code).

If you post from the dashboard (/wp-admin > Posts), you can select the Visual editor to view your image within the post editor, rather than the code.
