• Hi all
I’m setting up a multiuser installation with BuddyPress, so that logged in users can experiment with creating their own blogs. However, many of these users are VERY new to online technology, so I’d prefer to steer them away from the admin panel and only allow them to post and edit from the front end. I know there are front end editors out there, but I’m hoping to take this further and actually lock down the subsites so they only have access to very basic features, none of which require access to the admin panel. Does anyone know of a way to manage this scenario, without compromising functionality on the main site?

  • You can post from the front-end with WCK – Front End Posting. You can network activate it, create a front-end post, then manually adding the shortcodes to Publish / Edit type of pages to make it work.

You could also modify the plugin so it posts the particular post in the exact blog of the user even if it’s on the main website, so you only have to create two pages of Publish / Edit. This isn’t a feature yet.
