    Hello,

We have discovered that our Profile Builder registration Form not longer is working at Firefox and Chrome at desktop and mobiles. Microsoft Edge is working fine.

We have spent some hours trying everything we can think about and also done some Google Search. We have also deactivated all our plugins and even created a new registration page. No matter what we do it is not solving the problem.

I kindly ask you to help us out.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Finn

  • Hello Finn,

Thanks for doing all these preliminary tests.

Since the thing works fine on my test rig, it looks like it’s something special about your situation over there.

And since you already tried it with everything else disabled, the last thing that comes to mind is this test.

(It will maybe take 5 or 10 minutes of your time, but it will be very useful).

Please install a fresh WordPress in a subdirectory of your current install, the one where you are experiencing the problem.

Leave everything on default, don’t change anything. Then install PB and again leave everything on default. Then add a new page with our registration shortcode.

Does the problem persist in this case?

    Thanks,
    Gabriel

    Hello Gabriel,

    Thank you for your reply.

We have already a subdirectory installed WordPress and are here also using the Profile Builder plugin, and it is working fine. eFlash Shopping

Today we took FlashPortal.com som versions back on both files and database and back to a restore date where we know that the Profile Builder register form was working. Unfortunately, it was not solving the problem.

We even flushed our DNS on our computers, still no luck.

We are now at a stage where we really don’t know what to do. We would for sure not like to be forced to use another register and profile builder. So I hope you will be able to point out a way to solve this weird problem.

    Best regards,
    Finn

    Hi Finn,

    Two questions:

    1. If you remove the [wppb-register] shortcode from that page, does the page at least load?

    2. If you create a new page with the [wppb-register] shortcode, does that one work?

    Best regards,
    Gabriel

    Hi Gabriel,

Thank you for your fast reply.

    1. Yes, the page load when the [wppb-register] shortcode is removed.

    2. Creating a new page with the [wppb-register] shortcode is the same, the page will not load.

    Best regards,
    Finn

    Hi Finn,

You mentioned in your first message deactivating all your plugins, but you mention nothing of the theme.

Please try it with all other plugins disabled and with the default Twenty Nineteen theme.

    Does it work then?

    Hi Gabriel,

At last, I found the problem. It is the reCAPTCHA which stop the register form from loading. By removing reCAPTCHA from the form it is now loading at Google Chrome and Firefox.

As we would need reCAPTCHA I do hope you will be able to find a way forward. I was reading that other forms have had similar issues with reCAPTCHA v2.

    Hello Finn,

Are you using reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox or reCAPTCHA v2 Invisible?

I have just tested reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox on my test rig (because that’s what I had already) and it is working fine, suggesting a possible problem specific to your situation over there.

    With the best of regards,
    Gabriel
