I had a subscription to the Front End Submission Addon in the past and did think of renewing BUT then came across a problem whilst I still had it activated.
Is there no way to block certain people from submitting?

Without such a feature this can be a real problem and open to abuse. I’ve got this fella who won’t stop resubmitting items and having to go through all the submissions hunting down his submissions is a huge hassle.

Another thing is a double opt-in option which is missing. I just now created dummy events using dummy emails and dummy sites. All of which do not exist. Do you see the problem here?

Not to mention that I’ve yet to get an email notice from any submitted event ever. Have even changed the related email in the settings to see if my email was causing the issues, but no. Still nothing.

  • Hi @lcerura,

The notification should go to your email address in your WordPress settings.

We don’t have a blocking feature or optin feature for the front end submission on our WordPress core calendar, but we do have a sign up form pre-requisite on our Saas Web App calendar.

You can always submit a feature request for us to implement for this calendar on our Ideas page, here:

    Saas Web App calendar ?
Never heard of it. Took a look and don’t see it in your products list. Unless you’re referring to the Hub or Hub lite.

‘and nah, never got a notification. I assure you ALL emails I have here or there end up forwarding mail back to my main one.

Had taken the plugin down anyway so that’s that I guess.

    Hi @lcerura,

You can find the Web App calendar in Free, Pro, Hublite and Hub versions on this page:
