    I have been unsuccessful in getting the Front-end submissions widget to pop up the form on ANY other page except when it’s on the page holding the timely event calendar. I really need to get this working off ALL pages. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there any way to modify the font or put an image/button in place of the text link to make it more prominent in the widget?

    I am using 4.9.4 with the Apostrophe 2 theme.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Natalie

    Hi @witchenkitsch,

    You can display the Front End Submission button on any page using this shortcode:
    [ai1ec_interactive_frontend]

    For more information on shortcodes:
    https://time.ly/document/user-guide/using-calendar/display-multiple-calendars-site/

    You can try using custom CSS to increase the text size of the button, like this:

    .ai1ec-btn
    {
    font-size: 125%;
    }

    Paste it under Appearance > Editor > your wordpress theme’s CSS file >
    Then save the file.

    The referenced page states:
    https://time.ly/document/user-guide/using-calendar/display-multiple-calendars-site/

    “Using the shortcode [ai1ec_interactive_frontend] you can place the “Post your event” button that opens the form on any page. For this feature, it is necessary to install Extended Views addon.”

    This does not work, even after activating the Extended Views addon.

    Hi @jonathanmoorebcsorg,

    Sorry for your troubles. Make sure the shortcode is pasted in HTML/TEXT mode, not Visual mode.

    If it still doesn’t work, please log into your Timely account and open a ticket by clicking on the Get Help link, or click here: https://dashboard.time.ly/account/get-help.
    I’ll then be able to take a closer look.

    hi, no it’s not that, it’s simply that the Extended Views addon does not implement an [ai1ec_interactive_frontend] shortcode as stated on the page https://time.ly/document/user-guide/using-calendar/display-multiple-calendars-site/

    So it’s just a question of understanding what this shortcode is and which plugin implements it…

    I believe it used to require a different plugin called:
    All-in-One Event Calendar Frontend Submissions by Time.ly
    But I’m not clear about the current status.

    (of course if it is a different plugin it shouldn’t be in this forum anyway)

    Sunny, Your suggestion answered one question – how to change the font size or implement a button, but it does not address the fundamental problem – the Front-end submissions pop-up dialog does not appear when the widget link is clicked UNLESS it’s on the mane time.ly calendar page to begin with. On all other pages, nothing happens when you click the “+post your own event” link in the widget area. Please try it from our home page at https://sfn-ottawa.ca and confirm this is not working….

    I will be able to help you fix this issue, but I will need access that will require that you open a support ticket. Are you able to do so?
