• Since I think WordPress 4.7, we can now set a front-end language for the site in Settings>General>Site Language; and then specify the language we want for admin by going to our user profile and changing it there.

I am creating a website for French audience. I set the site language to be French, and I set my user language to English. As expected, the admin menus in the back-end are in English. However, the problem is, when I go the front end, the menu options in the admin bar at the top are in French.

I would expect those to be in my specified language, in my case, English. Is this a programming oversight to report to WP developers? Am I missing something?

    Thanks,
