front page crashes

    My blog crashes (= logout and shows a page that says I should upload my website) when I click on the logo, when I choose “visit site” in the admin panel and when I choose the home page from my main menu. I have tried several things and my impression is that it has to do with the front page. If I change the Reading settings and set a static page as the front page then trying to view that page leads to a crash (I have tried: all pages -> view page; using menu to go to this page). If I choose another page as the static front page this has the same crash-result. I have created a new page and used that as the static front page and again same result. When I change the Reading settings to “Front Page displays Your latest posts” then I also get a crash when I click on my logo.

    There was a crash of the host server last night. I kept getting the abovementioned problem because I did not empty my browsers caches.
