Front page Excerpts

Hello,

I am brand new to blogging. What I would like to have is the Front page of my site have experts from all of my post. I am using the Match theme. I can either make the front page have latest posts which shows the whole post not experts or try the static page Home with post page connected and then nothing is on the Home page at all. I would like the front page to show 5 experts with read more button to the actual post.

I have set my custom menu to have my categories at the top for navigation buttons. When going to another button like EAT, the post are shown in full instead of and expert again. Can this be changed as well to look similar to the home page I am describing above?
