I updated the theme yesterday and now my front page has disappeared. All the information is available in the Customizer section, but the front page is just a blank page like the other pages, not the customized homepage. the site is antoniamochan.com

  • I have never saw this ( I see that you are using other theme now ). How you updated the theme ?

I just updated it through the installer in the CMS. What has happened is that the theme works only when I say I want the blog posts as the front page, but then there are no blogposts. If I say I want a static front page (which is what I want) then the front page is ‘Home’ and is a blank page. I changed nothing before I updated.

I have now upgraded and downloaded the pro version, but I can’t see how to install that. The File manager on my cPanel for the site doesn’t allow me to upload a whole folder, only files, and so I can’t see how I can upload the whole theme.

I changed to a different theme because I need to have a decent looking site, and as it was it just looked awful. I would like to use your theme as it really fitted how I wanted the site to look, but I need to be able to rely on it.

OK, I have sorted it all out now. Thanks.

I have the same problem (Zerif Lite, version 1.3.1).

I think this issue comes from your changes to the front-page.php file. There must be a bug in the newest version of this file. It used to work fine in the previous version.

Again, the customizing of the front page of your theme does not work properly. When you choose “Your latest posts” in the area “Customize” > “Static Front Page”, the theme shows a static front page, the actual front page of your theme with all the widgets (Our Focus, About, Testimonials, …). This should not be the case.

In contrast, if you choose “A static page” and then select nothing or the “Welcome” page as the front page and the appropriate site of your posts (e.g. Blog) as the site for the latest post, then the actual content of the “Welcome” page is shown and not your front page with all your widgets. This was not the case in the previous version, where this setting led to a correct functioning of the theme.

The area where you make this changes can be seen over here

    Hi Antoniam,
I have the same problem. Could you explain how you fixed it?
    Thanks

    Hello Nathan,

I have posted a working solution for having a blog here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/front-page-doesnt-work-when-posts-page-enable?replies=2

We will look into this issue and come up with a fix in the next update.
