• I’ve created and published a post, which shows up in the category and month link, but not on the home page. The home page has just an “Edit this entry” link that points to /wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=

I think that after the initial installation, there was a post there that I deleted.

I keep reading about the Front Page option but when I load /wp-admin/options-reading.php I don’t see Front Page, only Blog Pages and Syndication Feeds.

I’m just getting started with 2.2.2, which I think I installed as an upgrade over an earlier version. I’d had the Registered Only plugin installed, but it’s deactivated now. I also tried deactivating all the plugins, but the front page and options page were unchanged.

    Any thoughts?

I got the post to show up on the home page by deleting the page_on_front row from my wp_options table that was apparently referring to a now nonexistent page.

The Front Page option is still missing from /wp-admin/options-reading.php
