Front page stuck on two week old post for all but me
-
For the last couple of weeks, visitors to my blog (https://neil.creek.name/blog) have been seeing some odd behavior.
Anyone who goes to the blog’s main page sees the post I made on Nov 19th. The “recent posts” widget in the sidebar shows the 10 most recent posts upto and including the 19th. However, if any of the recent post links are followed, or the link to the post on the 19th, the recent posts show the ACTUAL correct 10 most recent posts.
Also, a search for any term always redirects the user to the Nov19th post as the search results.
I do not see any of these problems myself. I suspect that may be because I am the administrator of the blog.
To eliminate the template as the cause, I tried changing back to the default from my custom template. I saw things as they should be, however a tester for me saw things exactly as they were on the front page, but when clicking through to any post, they saw the default template.
I have made a couple of changes around the 19th (I’m not sure of the exact date however). Sometime around then I upgraded to WordPress 2.3. I subsequently got some database errors when performing certain tasks on the site (again I regretfully forget exactly what the problem was) which I eventually traced to the Google Sitemap plugin. I disabled it, which fixed the problems. I have since uninstalled that plugin.
I can’t think of any other changed which may have caused this problem. My custom template was working fine for a number of months before the 19th.
These are the plugins I have installed:
AdSense Manager 2.5
Akismet 2.0.2
All in One SEO Pack 1.3.8.2
Breukie’s Archives Widget 2.1
Category Cloud Widget 1.7
FeedBurner FeedSmith 2.2
Flickr Tag 1.3.9
Lightbox JS v2.03.3 Plugin 1.7
Maintenance Mode 3.2
WordPress.com Stats 1.1.1
WP Super Cache 0.4Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
