front page updates from control panel not loading

  • This is strange. My front page

    https://mediawatchwatch.org.uk

    doesn’t load – unless I add /index.php to it, in which case it does.

    I can access my control panel and edit or create new posts, but cannot get from my control panel to my site (I get a “server is not responding” message) – although the edits/posts do appear on the site, as I can see when I visit via another route.

    Any ideas what is going on? I need to fix this.

    Trying to get to the main page eventually results in a 500 internal server error, btw.

    And checking my error logs shows hundreds of

    “Premature end of script headers: php4”

    Does that help explain anything? (I don’t have a clue!)

    A complete reinstall fixed it.
