As I mentioned, I am only able to provide support between work and time spent with family. And because I have limited time, I would need more information than the above in order to be able to reproduce and solve the problem.
For example I would need to know the height of the new image you want to use.
As stated in the readme;
The header widget area is only visible on the front page and only has room for 3 widgets. The space is somewhat limited, so carefully select widgets that will fit inside the area.
But since you have found a new theme, I wish you the best of luck, and I will mark this as solved.
