    Hello,

Trying to find a solution for a client that wants simple reports on the frontend.
What does this feature mean exactly?
    – “Option to disable GA on the frontend for admin users”.

Is this plugin generating frontend pages?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Glad to help:

    1) “What does this feature mean exactly? – Option to disable GA on the frontend for admin users”

When enabled, that setting tells the plugin to not include GA on public-facing pages for any admin-level users.

    2) “Is this plugin generating frontend pages?”

No, “frontend” is a general term used to describe any WP posts/pages that are not a part of the WP backend (i.e., Admin Area). More specifically, GA Google Analytics does not generate any posts or pages; it simply adds the required GA tracking code, as explained in the plugin documentation.

For a plugin that generates frontend posts and pages, check out my other plugin, User Submitted Posts.

Many thanks Jeff, I think I got it all wrong…
    I better understand now.
    Thanks again!

Sorry to bother you again but I now want to install your plugin to site of my own.
I really can’t understand your statement:

“When enabled, that setting tells the plugin to not include GA on public-facing pages for any admin-level users.”

I’ts a bit silly but I don’t get the meaning of that.
If I’m not asking too much today… can you elaborate that? An example maybe?

Or is ti simply a way of not including admins in stats when they surf public pages?

    Yes this exactly:

“Or is ti simply a way of not including admins in stats when they surf public pages?”

    That explains it correctly.

    OK, thanks again!
If I’m not the only one asking it might be a good idea to add a description for the last 2 settings. Because the other one is not obvious at first glance: “Enable GA in the WordPress Admin Area”. I understand this stands for “Having GA indexing backend pages” or something like that but still not sure.

If I’m the only one asking, just forget it and I’ll head up to check this with my doctor.

So far yes, but I strive to continually improve the plugin, so will definitely take a look at how to improve the descriptions for those two settings.

Thank you for the great feedback, John.
