I need frontend user acces for subscribers AND contributors.

I thought that when I would set the frontend access to contributor both contributer AND subscribers would have access (all lower roles).
But when I set it to contributor my subscribers have no access.

Is it possible to give both subscribers and contributors frontend access somehow?

    Thank you…

  • Hello hanheg,

For now is not possible to set more than one role, but in the next release will be. Stay close! ??

Ah, that’s great. Can’t wait for the next release ??

Any ETA on the next release? We’d greatly benefit from this feature.

We’d like to enable front-end access for all logged in users (in our case Editors and Subscribers), and Backend access only for Editors (and above).

    Thanks!

This feature was working in the past. We need to be able to grant several roles for the front end. It works fine for the Backend access. I have Contributor selected and Contributors, Authors, Editors can access backend. Why is the behaviour different for front end?

@newharvest: the new version will be released ASAP. I can’t give you a precise date.
@renoovodesign: wait for the new version.

I’m waiting for this fix as well.
When I’m setting the front-end view to Editor they cannot see that site. Only administrates can.
This is quite crucial and think that it’s a bug rather than a feature.

Me too! Although I don’t have to be able to select roles individually. But it would be nice if the plugin included higher roles, eg if editors is set for frontend, administrators should be able to the frontend as well.

    Thank!

    Same Here!

I am with mgrules. I would like to select Author, then expect Authors Editors and Admins to be able to access front/back end

    Thank you!!

well I needed this function as well. Looks like no updates on this for several versions ticks on WP. SO IS THIS A DEAD PLUGIN NOW?? Would really like an answer.
My needs, I want to set someone as an editor and have them able to view both front and back end of the site, as well as keep Admin able to do both as well.
    thanks
