Frontend Editor (Thrive Architect) + Syntax Highlighter doesn’t work
-
Hey,
let me tell you first that your plug in is awesome! Since there are few maintained syntax plugins available yours is a diamond. I tried the deprecated ones, but I like yours more. Long story short: Thank You!However, I have an issue with your plugin: It doestn’t work with my front-end Editor (Thrive Architect) properly. The problem is that the short codes will not render. In posts it works great.
I asked the Thrive people and their developers inspected your plugin. They found that the plugin can’t work with their solution because you hacked the do_shortcode() function.
A snippet of the answer I received:
“[…] As for the solution to the issue. Our development team has investigated this further and it seems that we cannot make the SintaxHighlight plugin work with Thrive Architect because they are doing some hacking to the do_shortcode() function in order for the plugin to work. Since Thrive Architect also uses this function to render certain elements we cannot integrate the behavior in our plugin. […]”Is there any possibility to fix that issue? Can I tweak that by myself?
Cheers,
Sandro
