    Hi

we are using Events Manager and its frontend forms for events submission & update for regular (registered) site users – which do not have access to backend.
This is working fine. Thanks for this plugin !

    I was wondering:
    1) if there is a way to use the wordpress Media Library manager rather than uploading a new image each time (which in our case creates duplicates as we have some events that may use the same image) ? This may allow to pick an image in the library (+ add new one, the case may be).
    2) if the edition frontend form could by default open the “all events” tab rather than “my events” tab ?

Note: for the rest of the site content management, we are using ACF.

    Thanks for your reply
    Matthieu

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us and We’re glad you like our plugin!

As for the 2 questions you have, Currently both of those are not possible at the moment and would require you to do some custom development to achieve. Currently custom dev is outside our support scope.

    Hi

I forgot to tell that we tried to bypass the issue using ACF, but unfortunately many specific fields related to the events cannot be accessed (dates, times, etc.) making this way a no-go and revert us to Events Manager native front-end service.

Thanks for this feedback as it confirms at least this is not an option I missed somewhere in the plugin settings.

As a consequence, may I suggest as an evolution for your plugin the idea to either change in the image upload process of your front-end (to rely on the wordpress media library manager) and/or to provide a proper ACF interfacing (more probably part of the pro version) ?… If those ideas are technically possible and of interest, of course ??

    Thanks
    Matthieu

    Hello,

Thank you for those great ideas, I have forwarded this to our Developers so they could check and possible add those additional features on future updates
