• Hello,

Last night I installed Frontpage extensions on my main site and it wiped out my WordPress site.

My WordPress site is a sub-domain to my main site. I use Frontpage to log into my main site but it wasn’t working so I reinstalled Frontpage extensions.

Now I have a big problem. My WordPress site is no longer functioning.

This is what I have done:

    – Uninstalled Frontpage extensions.
    – Uninstalled WordPress
    – Reinstalled WordPress

When I log into my WordPress site using FTP it appears that all of the files are there. All of my plug-ins are there are well. I used a plug-in before uninstalling all of this to backup the WP database. It does nothing when I try to restore it.

I can’t get the theme to attach to the site either.

    Can anyone help?

My WP site is at https://www.shopping-gems.com

    Thank you,

    Wendy

If you are looking on my site to see the problem you probably won’t find it because for now, I recreated a new blog at blogger.com and forwarded my domain name there. I can’t have a dead site because I have readers following me and expecting the site to be up.

I would still like to know if there is a solution. The WordPress files are all still intact in the shopping-gems.com directories because this is a subdomain to another site I have.

frontpage adds “crap” to your .htaccess
