Frontpage Slider

I am currently working on a website in which WordPress is my CMS. I have created an events page that uses a custom post type called ‘events’. My events page uses featured images in which the thumbnail is displayed in the events list, then a full size image in the single events posts.

I have been looking for a plug in that will display a slider on the front page of my website and display the featured images from the custom post type (‘events’). I have been using the dynamic content gallery plugin which does this, but I get a image that says ‘error’ every time. I can’t seem to find a fix for this.

Are there any other plugins out there that will allow me to do this? Premium or free, doesn’t matter.
