Hello, I use the plugin on several sites, but on one of the sites I have a problem, I get this error after making a test connection:

FTP settings test result: Failure: we did not successfully log in with those credentials. with the same credentials

I have checked the other sites with the same credentials and they work without problems. Could you give me some direction as to what the problem might be?

    Hello

Please could you test the FTP credentials independently on FileZilla or another similar FTP client?

Can you reset your password for your FTP and then try connecting again?

I reset the password but nothing changes the problem continues

Can you try clearing your cache and cookies/deleting your browser history and then try entering the credentials?

Also can I just check that you are not backing up to the same server that the site is on?

I tried deleting the browser cache, the problem persists, the error is the same. I’ve also tried stopping Cloudflare, also disabling and enabling the plugin.

It’s not on the same server as the site, I’m trying to connect to another server

Can you take a screenshot of everything in the error?

    Who is your FTP provider?

    (@martinvalchev)

    This is the error: https://ibb.co/BfLmZRn

    FTP provider is Namecheap

But I’m not sure if the problem is with the provider and this server, because I have other sites that I successfully manage to connect to this exact server.

In the remote path can you try moving the / at the start.

The error message suggests that the issue is with credentials but it would be worth trying this anyhow.

Can you also open the JS console whilst testing the connection and take a screenshot of any errors?

It’s strange that you can connect with other sites but not this one.

Hi, I’ve tried with no success.

This is a photo with the default Twenty Three theme, only the Updaft plugin is active, all others are disabled:

This is a picture after I clicked OK on the alert window and it closed:

I also checked the database to see if it is correctly recording the Server, Username and Password – everything is

I connect to FilleZilla from other sites with the same details without any problems

I’m also attaching a log of an attempt to back up the database and upload it to the split server if that helps:

Did you try removing the / at the start of the remote path?

    Thread Starter Martin Valchev

    (@martinvalchev)

Yes I tried, tried and no remote path, also tried with a new FTP account. I took the liberty of debugging the code to the ftp_connect function everything goes fine but when executed it returns nothing.

I am just checking with my colleague to see if they have any thoughts on what is going on with your FTP.

Well thank you. If you need me to assist you with any information, I am available.
