FTP details or Cpanel details

  • Hi!
    I hired BigBangThemes to set up my blog with a theme I bought because my initial attempt to install the theme created a mess I wasn’t sure how to fix. Now BigBangThemes need either my FTP details or my Cpanel details, and I don’t know how to get those. Can someone help?

    When You had purchased your domain and hosting space on server from some host provider then you must received an email from your host provider which contains a link to cPanel, now using your login given in the mail you can access your cPanel from where you can create FTP account to access your files and folder using some FTP protocol client software like FileZilla.
    Hope you will get assistance from this.

    I strongly suggest you to be very careful to who you give FTP or cPanel credentials.

    I suggest you to create a temporary FTP user with very restricted access and give it to them.

    Also, make sure your consultant has created a a child theme to make changes or modifications to the theme. If not, all your customization will be overwritten when you next update your theme.
