FTP Images Not Showing Up in Media Library

  • I’ve uploaded images via FTP, but the images don’t show up in the media library. What am I doing wrong? Help! Thanks..

  • Unfortunately I have found that you have to upload the images THROUGH WP uploader for them to show up in the image library.
    Also, if you are making wp galleries, you should be aware that the images should be uploaded while you are editing the post they are to be on.

    I just found a WordPress plugin called “Add From Server” that fixes this problem for you. You upload the files via FTP as normal, then click the new Add from Server button in Media to add the file you just uploaded to your Media Library. Works like a charm!

    Hope this helps others with the same problem!
