    Hi there,

I have setup Xcloner to backup our website. The backup files (.tar) are created perfectly and can be stored locally. Now, I wanted to take it the next step and create/store the backups on our NAS Server automatically. For this purpose, I have created a user and an explicit folder for the backups. This user has all the rights necessary to read/write to that folder. Port 21 is active on the router.

    Now to my issue…:
After I start the transfer, I can see that XCloner has “written” something (eg.:.xcloner_4b6da1) to the folder. I can also see the User connected in FTP mode with the server within the server resource monitor.

Strangely enough, after about 1-2 mins. It comes back, stating: “FTP connection error: Could not write data”

Unfortunately, there is no log created within Xclone, wherein I could identify what the issue may be.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Dear community,

I have managed to resolve my issue by setting both the

    FTP Transfer mode –> passive
    FTP Secure connection –> disabled

It might’ve been helpful, if there were an explanation to each.
Especially, when it comes to “secure connection” one would think, that if I’m adding a Username and Password, that this would suggest to use “secure connection”.
