FTP Password

  • I am trying to update and add plug ins but I’m being asked to put in the FTP password. This information is not known- how can this be reset? It says to contact my web host. What does this mean?

  • Your web hosts are the people you are paying monthly or annually for your hosting package. You need to contact them for details of your FTP access credentials.

    I am told that the company we were previously hosting with “AI” no longer does. We host it ourselves- we don’t pay anyone monthy…

    Then you need to speak to the person who manages your server.
