• Dear,

First thanks for the great plugin.

I want to use the plugin with ftp.
The online way this works is if i chown the folder from apache to the ftp user.

After this i can manually make folders and upload photos.

When i open the gallery plugin it says it has no right to change folders. So i changed all the folders to 777. then that problem is solved to.

Now the script generates the albums and subalbums. But it does not show the photo’s. So i have to manually change all photos to 777 or change it back to apache:apache.

How can we solve this issue so i can easly upload a folder with fotos and the script will detect those photo?

    Thank you in advanced.
    Daniel

What are you using now, if not Apache?
With Zeus webserver there is something similar:

    Hi klihelp,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I have my own directadmin server. Therefor i can login witj ssh. On ssh i can set do these changes on command line.

The regard the issue is not for me so this is not a permanent solution.

I’m looking for a way i think the script changes the folder attributes to 777. Or the script to work without setting these permissions.

    Thanks in advanced

Set the correct permissions for the main gallery folder.
This was the case with Zeus webserver; I think in WordPress the files inherits the parent’s folder permissions.

    Hi Klihelp,

Thank you for your response and sorry for my late response.

I have to set it for every sub folder so this will not work.
The ftp function does not work as it should.

Hope someone can help me with this issue..

    Thanks in advanced!
