My issue is the same as Full breadcrumb not showing on some pages, I think.

The full path is not shown on all pages.
It is shown correctly on .
    However, it is not on

The parent category ‘advies’ is not selected for either post. Only the child category is selected. The same happens on other posts on my site.
Currently my site is set up with a parent category and child category, with only the child categories selected for the posts.
But even when I add the parent category to the post, it still doesn’t show the full path.

When using health check and troubleshooting plugin, it is the same. With any of the 20 X themes, the breadcrumbs are not shown at all, unless I use the short-code, but also in that case, not the full path.

All is update to the latest version: WordPress 5.6, Neve theme 2.10.0 (should support Yoast SEO Breadcrumbs) and Yoast SEO 15.7.

I currently am clueless why this behaviour is so erratic.

In the meantime, I even encountered an occurrence that adds a category that is certainly not added to the post. See https://albers-roukema.pt/advies/financien/multibanco-slimme-samenwerking-tussen-banken/

I also noticed that something went wrong with my previous post with two links that I wanted to point to.

It is shown correctly on .
    However, it is not on

    Should have been:
It is shown correctly on https://albers-roukema.pt/advies/gezondheidszorg/centro-de-saude-de-portugese-huisartsenpost/.
However, it is not on https://albers-roukema.pt/advies/prioriteitssysteem-bij-het-centro-de-saude/

    Hi @concatenate,

Here are the breadcrumbs and permalinks that we’re seeing for both posts:

    /advies/gezondheidszorg/centro-de-saude-de-portugese-huisartsenpost/
    Home > Advies > Gezondheidszorg > …

    /advies/prioriteitssysteem-bij-het-centro-de-saude/
    Home > Advies > …

We found that both posts appear in the archives for the “Gezondheidszorg” category, so it appears that they have been assigned to this category.

To force an update of the Yoast data, please try the following steps to reindex the SEO data on your site:

    1. Install and activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
    3. Click the “Reset indexables and migrations” button
    4. Go to SEO -> Tools and under “Optimize SEO Data” click the “Start SEO data optimization” button.

For sites with more than 10,000 posts, we’d advise using the WP CLI command to do the indexation on the server instead of going to SEO > Tools. You can read more about this here: WP CLI – Reindex Indexables command

    Does this solve the problem?

Unfortunately, the steps with Yoast Test Helper did not solve my problem.
Unfortunately, I cannot use WP CLI on this particular server, I don’t have command line access.

Were you able to run “Optimize SEO Data” tool successfully from your website dashboard?

Yes, I was. Like I said: the steps with the Yoast Test Helper did not solve my problem.
In the meantime, I even reopened the Wizard which also did not solve the problem.

We are sorry to hear that you’re still having trouble with our plugin. Due to the nature of the issue, we’ll need to take a look at your setup. However, we are unable to do it here as this is a public forum.

So, if you have an active Yoast SEO Premium subscription or if you can consider buying one, we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately through email.

However, if you don’t wish to get the Yoast SEO Premium subscription, that’s completely fine. In this case, you’ll need to troubleshoot the issue further on your setup as we are literally out of any clue at this moment without taking a look at the setup. So, someone from the community might step forward as well who has experienced the issue or familiar with the parent/child breadcrumbs relationship.

    Thanks for your understanding!
