    Hi!

I’ve got a problem with the full calendar shortcode..

When the page is loaded the calendar is loading endlessly and won’t display the event entries. The strange thing about it is, that the calendar is showing on the site when i’m logged in into wordpress admin.

I can’t find any errors in the console, only a message reporting that jqmigrate is installed which seems normal.

Unfortunately i have no clue why this happens. In former times the calendar worked, so it seems to be an error which is corresponding with a plugin update from event organiser.

could you help me out? thanks a lot in advance..
    best regards – martin

    Hi,

The ajax-admin.php request, used to retrieve event data for displaying in the calendar is responding with “Accessing author info via REST API is forbidden” – which is odd, since it doesn’t use the REST API.

A recent update did add the author ID to the data returned for the event, so this would explain why it has only occurred recently.

Presumably you’ve got a plug-in installed which is trying to lock down the data returned by the REST API, and in this case is acting in an instance when it shouldn’t.

    hi stephen,

thanks for your help. in between i found out that it had to do with my security plugin “all in one security”. there was a feature which i had enabled:

    users enumeration

This feature allows you to prevent external users/bots from fetching the user info with urls like “/?author=1”.

When enabled, this feature will print a “forbidden” error rather than the user information.

with this setting turned off it works again ??
thanks again and have a good day!
