I have to respectfully disagree with you. This plugin does what it say it does, import the full content of post o your blog. Period.

Now, you original feed need NOT to be Truncated, this is not in our hands.

We have no influence on that, the plugin does not truncate your feeds or anything else, you just need to make sure that the feed you use actually give you the content.

IF you however use truncated Feeds that only display titles, then the API Key will fix that and retrieve the full content for you (assuming you are allow to do that regarding copyrights..etc) .

You would sell a lot of your API Upgrade if the FREE plugin came with an API that would only handle one blog but require the API Key to handle more blogs than one.

I bet with you, if I do this, there would be someone complaining about NOT being able to use it on more than 1 Blog.

The plugin is FREE , the ability to turn the truncated feeds you give the plugin to full post is a feature that allows us to work on this, if your feeds are not truncated, you don’t need an API Key.

Sorry i have to agree with DeadIntolt,
In the UK its called false advertising. therefore i will score this plugin a zer0 (for my wasted time setting it up only to find i have tp pay extra to get it to do what i need)

This phrasing is confusing, but if the RSS feed is a “Full Text RSS Feed”, the free version of the plugin apparently can post the full text which is supplied in the RSS feed.

If the RSS feed only has partial information, then there is an extra-cost service available which will try to fetch the original content.

The plugin description should be clarified, so people know what to expect, and so they won’t waste their time (and affect the ratings) if the plugin does not do what it seems to say it will.

I have to agree that the description is misleading. I would not have known this till after I installed.

To search for similar plugins, it looks like the following is a good search term: rss post import

Including “post” and “import” avoids seeing plugins which only display RSS feeds.

It should state as a standard feature: import full post if your feed is not truncated.. at least for me that was not clear

I for one did not find this confusing. I read through the plugin’s page and followed the link to feedsapi.com to read about the api key. I installed it for a test and loved that I could use 7 feeds to immediately test with. Most of my feeds are truncated, as I expected, but one shows the full text and images which was a pleasant surprise. After reading the author’s explanation above, I understand why this is now. I am seeing value in this plugin and will be upgrading to the full version after the next release.
