Morning, folks! Yesterday, I installed the Oprum theme for use on my website. While it has a few wonky issues that I managed to correct on my own, there is one that I’m absolutely stumped by – and I’m convinced it’s minor & silly, but alas, I need some help.

I am using this theme with WooCommerce. The theme comes with a FullPage template, which as most full page templates do, I presumed would eliminate the sidebar aspect entirely on the pages which I chose to implement it. Not so in this case.

I have my shop page, on which I’ve chosen from the pulldown menu “FullPage”. Saved – still see sidebar, even after a Ctrl+F5 refresh. (Several, actually.) Went into my widget area – removed all widgets from Store Sidebar; saved; refreshed. STILL a sidebar, but now with a ghosted in “Search” box. Went back to my page & made sure that no sidebar was selected; it was not.

Went into the store-sidebar.php file & removed the code for the search box that was defaulting in the sidebar, even though no widget was placed there. Saved. Refreshed. Search box removed successfully with no errors, but there was still a “space” for a sidebar. The content did not span across as it should on a full page template. Went ahead and added back the search code in the php file.

Insert mad frustration now, LOL, and here I am.

Here is the URL to the page that SHOULD be rendering full width per the theme’s template, but isn’t. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. (Yes, I realize that I should be using a child theme, but after trying & failing miserably to get that in place, I went back to editing the main theme & just won’t update it. Thanks for understanding.)

    Hi,
To create store, create a page for example Shop. In this page metabox Page Attributes dropdown list Template select WooCommerce.

When you activate the WooCommerce plugin becomes available additional sidebar Store.

Use contextual help is available by clicking on the Help tab.

Hi, Dinev! Thank you so much – but I’ve already done that, and STILL, there is a sidebar. I do NOT have ANY sidebars active, period, and it still has the layout. Would you happen to have any other ideas? I really love this theme, and would hate to have to switch. ??

Also, and this is a new issue – the “Home Tagline” area is completely missing, and I haven’t removed it. I also do not see any contextual help tab within the theme’s settings, nor elsewhere within WP.

Thank you so much for your time! Have a great day! ??

Disable sidebar in WooCommerce is not supported. I’ll think about including this feature in the next update.

To show a section of Home Tagline:

Go to Appearance > Customize: Static Front Page – Front page displays: select
    Your latest posts.

Next, go to the section Home Tagline of Customizer. In the text area Tagline Text use the <h1> tags for text header (for example: <h1>OPRUM</h1>). Also instead of text, you can insert the shortcode of the slider plugin.

Ah, I see. Yes, that would be a VERY much appreciated feature, as it pretty much negates being able to use a full page layout on my category pages.

I do have one more question to you, as I’ve completely deleted & reinstalled the theme for design purposes (I made some changes color-wise, but the freshly installed version of your theme is still reflecting the changes.)

I’ve flushed DNS, completely cleared all browser history, cookies, temp files, etc. I am running NO cache plugins. I have NO custom CSS for the theme, yet it will not show me the unadulterated theme in it’s purest form.

Does the theme save changes to the database, by chance? Please reference this thread for more information, as I first went here for help:

Thank you, Dinev! Hope you’re having a great day!
