Hi, I’ve downloaded the plugin to help resolve some Google PageSpeed issues I’m having. After I ran the plugin, I had a huge improvement on the reported optimised image errors from GPSI – so the plugin works great in this respect.
I have a few remaining issues though.
For some posts, GPSI reports some images would still benefit from being compressed. I’ve tried to investigate a consistent theme for the problem but struggling, It looked like it could be where I used the full-size image or a custom-size image but I have some posts where that logic doesn’t apply. This is an example of a post where GPSI reports problems for some but not all images: https://mowgli-adventures.com/camper-van-electrics-explained/

Any help you can give me that doesn’t mean I need to change every single post would be hugely appreciated. Thanks again

    `Hi AmDev1,

    Thanks for using our plugin.
Great news to know that reSmush.it helped you to improve your GPSI rank ??

For this post, indeed, your post Template uses a full width image instead of using a custom image size, which can create some “optimizations” in GPSI.

    Two approaches :
    1. Edit your post template to provide an adapted size for your pictures, and it should be OK. But for some reasons, changing the image size can be complicated
    2. Take the GPSI recommandation as a future enhancement, and not take considerations of all points. If you already have a very good “mark” at GPSI, with only these optimizations, it won’t impact a lot your SEO/Google Ranking.

Your problem is more a WordPress/Conceptual issue concerning your website that a reSmush.it plugin issue ??

We hope that helped anyway ??

Do not hesitate to rate our plugin if you liked it (or pay us a beer if you’re very kind ?? ?? ??

    Cheers,
    Charles
