Full text sent to subscribers instead of snippet

  • WordPress has suddenly started to send the entire content of a blog post to my subscribers instead of just a snippet. I have checked on my Settings → Reading and for ‘For Each Post in a Feed Include…’ I have ‘Excerpt’ checked and not ‘Full text’. This was working fine until recently.

    In order to stop scraping and stealing of my work, which has been done before, I need this to go back to ‘Excerpt’. I use the Disabled Source, Disabled Right Click and Content Protection plugin, which is working fine.

    Am I doing something wrong, or has there been a recent change in the software?

  • Which plugin do you use to send the email? I think that’s where you should start. Maybe something has changed there due to an update – it’s best to ask their support.
