We have a list of our upcoming webinars here: https://cureo.com/webinar/. Some of them are full, as in we have reached the maximum number of registrants. However, they still show up in the list. When a user clicks “Register” the system just returns a generic “Something has gone wrong…” error. The GoToWebinar site correctly shows the event as being “(Full).” I have turned caching off and cleared cache with no luck. Am I missing a setting?

    Hi there,

Thanks for your message and thanks for using the plugin.

You aren’t doing anything wrong, the plugin just hasn’t been designed to facilitate that situation. Normally haha, most people are trying to find ways to get more people to their webinars not put restrictions to prevent people from registering. But I can appreciate certain use cases where you would want this in place.

I have now released version 8.2 of the plugin which addresses this specific issue. If the attendee limit is reached and someone tries to submit the form it will display a ‘webinar is full message’. You may also customise this message in the plugin settings under the ‘Translation’ tab, you will see a new setting: “Attendee Limit Reached Error Message”, so you can use this to create a custom message of your own.

Unfortunately using the API tools available to me I couldn’t find a nice way to see if a webinar is full or not, the only way I could do this is by actually trying to register someone. Ideally though it wouldn’t even show the form and just say the webinar is full. But at least with this update it should be clear to everyone involved what’s going on.

If you like the plugin please feel free to rate it 5 stars: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wp-gotowebinar/reviews/ Thanks,

Thanks for your quick response. It is too bad you cannot eliminate the full webinars. Our use case is that we want to have smaller groups to build better relationships with participants.

    Hi,

Yes I agree, as I mentioned there’s no tools available. I hope you’ll appreciate the latest update I did for you.

The only way to test this without rendering the form would be to do a quick dummy registration and delete that registration but that’s just a bad idea.

    Thanks,
