Hello, I’m adding a typical style slider to a home page and I want to make sure that I’m not getting dinged from Google Page Speed Insights for ‘not using the correct sized’ images are used. I’m looking for the typical 3:1 aspect ratio slider; can anyone make recommendations for the proper size for a full-width slider?

    Thank you ahead of time!!

  • Hi,

There are various screen sizes to consider, but the most popular screen size for a monitor is 1920px.

If you’re asking for a 3:1 ratio then you can just divide 1920 into 3 which makes it 1920×640.

You can also check this site for various screen sizes https://screensiz.es/monitor

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for that I am getting ‘yelled’ at for image sizes inside of GTMetrix for the image size of the full-width slider and they are smaller than that, but it’s saying that the images are too big… I find it very confusing.
