full width multifaceted background on home page

Let me see if I understand you correctly – you want the white background to be another color? The theme is segmented into parts, so you will need to change the color of each part in your Custom CSS area. For example, if you wanted a black background, you would need to add something like this:

@laurahartwigdesign: No,I don’t want to change Customizr. I love this theme and want to create many segments with full width colour background in body of the theme just below featured pages with circular images on home page. Would appreciate any help. I could create multiple coloured segments but they were not of full width. I tried different margins also but no result.

tell me one thing you want each section with dynamic content or static content. or simple one section is dynamic and rest are static.

ok you can create a template file and attache it with page. In this template file create separate div for each section with class and put your static content in it. this will show your content as you want but you have to give style to each section separately. And if you have any problem to create a template file according to your requirement then let me know.
