this depends on your theme.

‘normally’:
create a page template;

for instance, start off with a copy of page.php (or index.php…);

remove the call of the sidebar from it;

make sure it has a individual css class for the main container;
(example onecolumn-page.php of twenty ten)

style it in css.

Hi there, I have the same issue as I cannot get a full width page.

I have created a new php file for the full width and removed the “get sidebar” code and also updated the css code.

I think I maybe doing something wrong…. Is there any chance you could give step by step instructions and does it matter where you place the code in css.

I am using jobroller theme.

your problem is different: you already seem to know how to make the template and change the css; you might be stuck on details.
