• Hello. ??

I have been searching for answers and trying them for days, but to no avail, so I come to ask for your help please. I can’t link to my site, as it is uder construction and offline to the public.

    Here is my issue:

Up until a few days ago, all looked great visually, and I was busying myself with the vital task of getting my security locked down. I went through and removed some plugins that [I thought] I no longer needed, but having done so, my pages have lost the formatting that makes them Full Width, with No Sidebar.

It was working fine before that, but now my page content sits to the left of the page, as if there was still a sidebar there to the right, even though the sidebar itself still correctly no longer shows.

All the advice I’ve seen so far, guides on creating a new Full Width Template, but I still have the template in /wp-content/gateway/ etc. For some reason, it is simply no longer working correctly.

Could someone please either give me some handy code I can drop into the custom css on the pages themselves on an individual basis to fix the issue, or some further instruction on what to add in my child theme to get the site recognising that pages are supposed to display in full width with no sidebar?

I really need to be spending my time on more important site related construction tasks, but have now had to stop to get this very basic thing back to how it was again first.

Thanks very much for your help.:)

    Hi,

If you’re using this theme, https://www.ads-software.com/themes/gateway/ It already have a default full-width page option.

Sorry, I do not wish to sound rude, but did you actually read my post properly?

I stated within it, that I am using Gateway, and having read it, you’ll have noticed that I am well aware the Gateway theme has a default full width page template — as until a few days ago, it had already been set up and was working fine, as I already stated above.

My request is for some code I can enter into the custom css on the page to tell it to use that template again — or — what do I need to place in my child theme to get the template working again please?

    Many thanks. ??

    Hi,

No problem. I was just confirming because that featured is provided by the theme by default, so if that is not working means, something you did, so only confirming you ??

There is no CSS way to do that, if you already have this file template-full.php in the theme file, then it should display an option to choose the template

It should display you to choose the template

Make sure on the page you want to be full width choose that template, if you don’t have that file, then download the latest theme and upload that file alone to your theme or child theme.

It should start work, hope so.

If that still didn’t work, please give us more details of what you did, that makes the template not working.

    Regards,
