Full-width slideshow problem

Hello. I’m having a problem setting up a full-width slideshow on my homepage.

This is what it looks like at the moment:

I would like it to suit other screen resolutions, but also go all the way accross the width of the site. This is the effect I want to achieve:

I’m using canvas theme and got my site width set to 1600, which is the maximum. As for the slideshow I’m using Camera slideshow plugin.

Any idea on what could be the problem here? If you need more info, feel free to ask. Thank you in advance!
